Privacy Policy

1. The short version
Flight Globe is built offline-first. Your flights, countries, statistics and photos live in a local database on your own device. We do not run a backend, we do not have user accounts, and we do not collect, sell or share your personal data.
2. Information you enter
When you use the app you may enter flight details (dates, routes, cabins, airlines), the countries you have visited, and other content such as notes or photos. All of this is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
3. Photos
If you attach photos to a flight, the app accesses the images you select and stores copies alongside your flight log, on your device. Photos are only read when you choose them; the app does not scan or upload your photo library.
4. Backup and device-to-device transfer
The app can export a backup file (.fgbackup) that you save wherever you like, and it can transfer your data directly to another device over your local Wi-Fi network. Both features are under your control. A backup file contains your flight log, visited countries and settings in readable JSON, so keep it somewhere safe. We never receive a copy of it.
5. What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or phone number is required to use the app.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or advertising SDKs are included.
- No location tracking. Airport and country data is bundled with the app and matched locally.
- No cloud sync. Nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly export or transfer it.
6. Permissions
The app may ask for access to your photos (to attach images to a flight) and to your local network (for device-to-device transfer). These permissions are used only for the features described above and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
7. This website
This landing page is a static site. It does not set cookies and does not collect personal data. It loads the Inter web font from Google Fonts and JavaScript libraries (Three.js) from public CDNs, which means those providers may see your IP address as part of delivering the files. Their handling of that information is covered by their own privacy policies.
8. Data retention and deletion
Because your data is stored only on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual flights and countries inside the app, or remove everything at once by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage. Any backup files you created remain wherever you saved them until you delete them yourself.
9. Children
Flight Globe is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children.
10. Your rights
Data protection laws such as the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability over your personal data. Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to access or erase — everything is on your device and under your control. If you have any question about this, you are welcome to contact us.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves, for example when a new feature changes how data is handled. The current version is always available on this page, with the revision date shown at the top.
